Ford has totally reinvented this trend setting and best selling SUV. After discovering that the majority of owners did not utilize the previous model’s capability, the Ford engineer went back to the drawing board to completely revamp the Explorer. They started with a strong but lightweight vehicle structure. They discarded the previous model’s body on frame design that made the ride and handling so rough. They added a 3.5 290 horse power 6 cylinder engine and 6 speed automatic transmission to give the new Explorer best in class fuel economy and terrific performance. They added an Intelligent 4WD system that automatically controls power, transmission shift and braking to give the new vehicle great handling in all types of road conditions. The cabin has 7 passenger seating and a whole host of comfort and convenience options to outfit the Explorer to your needs.
