As of this morning (January 10, 2012) there is a unique piece of NASCAR history sitting in our freeway showroom. In 1969 Ford was chasing the Dodge cars and their 426 Hemis. Ford countered with the Talledega Torino and the mighty Boss 429. Ford dominated NASCAR that season and on into 1970. A local resident has loaned us his 1969 Talledega for a two week display. It is a genuine Holman-Moody built Ford Talledega, driven to victory in the Atlanta race by Lee Roy Yarbrough. What a beast….if you are at all interested in NASCAR….swing by to check it out.
